Here’s what our summer has looked like so far! We went camping with some friends and we also went to Andy’s family’s beach house for a week with friends. It has been a great summer! And it’s not even over – we leave on Saturday for a whirlwind tour of the north east – Cape Cod with my family, Boston (for a Red Sox game!), Martha’s Vineyard, Philadelphia, and LBI, NJ again for a week with Andy’s family! we will miss our sweet pup but are excited to spend time with our families (:

2011…wow!

My new years resolutions:
1. blog more!
2. go to the gym more. (i know this is everyone and their mama’s resolution. but i really do want to!)
3. don’t drink soda
4. make all a’s! (ha yeah right.)
5. clean out all the closets in my house!

i have like a million more resolutions but i won’t bore you (:

Jon and Teresa’s Baby Shower!

Jon and Teresa are two of our dear friends here in Charlotte. We LOVE them and they are having a BABY!! (: A group of us threw them a couple’s baby shower tonight (aka cookout and hang out and play soccer in the backyard) and I wanted to post a few pictures. We had a great time and are so happy for them and can’t wait to meet baby Simons!

woo hoo! we are out for the summer! at least until july when we start one of our summer classes. we are SO excited to be done with our first year of seminary! it was wonderful and hard and emotional and tiring and such a blessing! God has showed us so many times over the last semester that this is exactly where he wants us. He is so good.

so here’s the run down: we are done with hebrew and we start greek in august, i have 3 jobs (intern, TA, bookstore), we’re going to the lake for memorial day to kick off the summer, i plan on reading 1000000 fun books between now and fall semester, we’re going camping in the linville gorge in june, we’re going to the long beach island, nj for a week in july, i’m going to organize and decorate our house while i have the time, lost is over forever, 24 is over forever which means i have my monday and tuesday nights back, we joined a kickball team and we play every wednesday night, andy and i are going to go to the pool at least 4 times a day. sounds fun huh? yeah i think so too.

no pictures this time because i stink at remembering my camera. well ok fine, i’ll post one. but it has nothing to do with what we’ve been doing. it’s just a picture of me and my stinkin cute husband (:

so….i thought i had turned over a new leaf and was going to be a better blogger. guess not! (: andy and i have been super busy with school and we’re really enjoying this semester. our favorite class is “worship” and we are learning so much about God and who he is and what he requires of us in our worship. we love all of our classes though and just are so excited to be here.

i’ve been looking for a job since november (even thought i haven’t really wanted a job and i would love to continue to be a stay at home wife/student forever) and i hadn’t had any luck because i have weird hours that i can work and i don’t want to work nights or weekends because that’s the only time andy and i have to spend quality time together. well in the past month i have somehow gotten more than 1 job! some of the jobs are not final yet but they’re looking pretty good. what i know for sure is that i will be working at the RTS bookstore starting in june and i’m going to be a teacher’s assistant for the history professor at school. we are just so amazed at how God always provides at the perfect time! and we sit here and question his timing. pshhh…we crazy.
