here are some pictures of our week in raleigh at the end of january! we went home to celebrate Andy’s birthday with my family and his family and it also happened to snow 6 inches. we played in the snow, ate ALOT, and went to the DPAC (durham performing arts center) to see mama mia with andy’s brother scott and his girlfriend lauren. we had a really great time!
confession: i hate our blog January 29, 2010
i hate our blog layout. i think it’s ugly and boring and colorless and just not fun at all. and i personally think andy and i are not boring. we’re fun so our blog should be fun! with that said, be looking for our new updated FUN looking blog. same blog. new look (:
bobsy and jenna (: January 29, 2010
so we have been at home in raleigh all week (loving it) for a few different reasons: 1. i got a ticket and had to go to court on monday. 2. we’re going to mama mia on sunday night, if we don’t get snowed in! 3. to continue andy’s weeklong birthday celebration! SO with that said i will get on to the point of this post. bobby is one of andy’s great great friends from clemson whose birthday happens to be on sunday! bobby and jenna (his wonderful wife) are always so sweet to us and have treated us to dinner out numerous times. for bobby’s birthday we wanted to treat them to a dinner out so on monday night we went to firebirds in north hills! after dinner we went to starbucks and since it was the end of the night and they were going to throw out all the goodies, we got some free desert to go along with our yummy drinks! i don’t have any pictures from the event, which i’m quite sad about, but i felt the need to post about this because it was so much fun! so happy birthday bobsy! (: (here are some unrelated pics of us)
with great moustache comes great responsibility. January 29, 2010
so first of all i want to say happy birthday to my sweet sweet andy! his birthday was on tuesday and this past saturday i threw him a mexican fiesta complete with moustaches, a pinata, and tons of mexican food. a bunch of his clemson friends came as well as some new friends from charlotte! we had a really fun time and i must tell you, i have never seen guys get so excited over something as small as fake furry moustaches from party city (: pete’s birthday was the day of the party and nate’s (more commonly known as nate dog) birthday was the day before so we did a little celebrating for the three of them. here are some pictures from the event!
oh well hi there (: January 15, 2010

this is from october but honestly i can't find my camera and even if i did i don't know if i've taken pictures since this anyways (:
ok so we’re not dead we’ve just been super busy! andy and i have completed our first semester of seminary and whew was it hard! we are officially “hebrew masters” (NOT!) and are really enjoying our time here in charlotte. we have found a church we love (uptown church), made some really great new friends, and have enjoyed hanging out with some old friends too! we are about to finish our last day of a 2 week intensive hebrew course tomorrow and then we will do another one week long intensive course called “classics of personal devotion.” should be exciting! and sanctifying i’m sure (: and then we will start the spring semester on feb 2. well, i can’t promise it won’t be another 3 months til we update again but one can hope (:
DC October 23, 2009
so for our anniversary, we took a little trip to washington for our fall break. it was great fun! we enjoyed touring around the national mall. we visited lincoln’s summer home and ford’s theater. we also visited robert e. lee’s home at arlington, ate at some really good places and went to capitol hill baptist church. we stayed at the westin, right around the corner from the russian embassy. i worked on my parallel parking skills. we also escaped near death when the fire alarm went off at 6:30 am in our hotel- well to be honest it was a false alarm, but it scared me half to death. it also happened to be national equality march-protest “don’t ask, don’t tell”-GLBTQ fun week, it made for some interesting scenery. and i saw a black squirrel.

2 years of bliss! <3 October 7, 2009
well today is our two year anniversary and i just want to say happy anniversary to the best husband ever! (: we went out to dinner to maggiano’s tonight and are now back at home writing papers (at least that’s what i’m supposed to be doing but as you can see i’m updating our blog). andy surprised me tonight and told me that this weekend we will be heading to washington dc for a 3 day 2 night stay at the westin hotel in downtown dc! it is our fall break all next week so we will be able to get away from the hustle and bustle of charlotte and school life and hopefully relax some! we have been wanting to go to dc for a while now and i am so excited to be able to get away and celebrate a wonderful two years of marriage together. don’t worry, i’ll post pictures from our trip in, oh i don’t know, about 5 months (: kiiiidding

1 1/2 year anniversary cake (: April 13, 2009
so Ashley Cakes is who made our wedding cake (which we loved and would suggest to anyone!) however, i don’t even remember what our cake tasted like because i’m pretty sure all that andy shoved in my mouth was icing. well, thank goodness ashley cakes is so amazing and actually makes you a cake for your anniversary, which is included in the price of your wedding cake, so you don’t have to eat that frozen junk that is a year old (although my mom did try and serve our frozen wedding cake to numerous guests throughout the year.) anyways, we weren’t on the ball for our year anniversary cake so we decided we’d celebrate our year and a half anniversary for the sake of the cake! here are some pics (: (not shown: our yummy dinner at kanki! can you believe andy hadn’t been there since his one and only visit for his 6th grade field trip?!)

cake, strawberry cream cheese, buttercream icing, raspberry, cake!

The Skee Amigos April 8, 2009
so, in case you didn’t know, there is a skee ball league of raleigh. well brandy, a girl that i work with, plays in the league and organized a company outing tonight at the basement in raleigh for the first annual greene resources skee ball tournament. my team, the skee amigos, didn’t make it to the finals but we did make it to the semi finals AND if there was a trophy for the most spirited we definitely would have won. here are some pics from the night! yay for skee patrol who won the tournament!
